WELCOME
We appreciate your consideration of our office to serve you or your family member's medical needs regarding allergy and asthma. We provide evaluation and treatment of hayfever, chronic nasal congestion, hives, eczema, stinging insect allergies, food allergies and drug allergies. We also evaluate and treat asthma and related pulmonary conditions. Our goal is to give you an expert and up-to-date evaluation and to educate you about any problems we may diagnose. Your family physician, internist or pediatrician should manage other medical problems. We strongly encourage your primary care doctor to remain involved in all aspects of your medical care, including your allergic problems, and we will forward a copy of your evaluation to your primary physician.
YOUR INITIAL VISIT
The purpose of your visit is to obtain extensive medical information concerning your condition. The first visit will include detailed medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests as necessary. If skin testing is indicated, the initial appointment may last around two hours. Your scheduled arrival time will be somewhat earlier than the time you actually see the doctor to allow time for pre-evaluation testing. We ask that you make arrangements for the care of young children who are not being evaluated.
We ask the primary caretaker of the pediatric patient to be present for the initial visit. When all of the appropriate information has been obtained, usually at the time of the first visit, our findings and recommendations will be reviewed. Your condition will be discussed and a course of treatment outlined in detail. You are encouraged to ask questions. Prior to arrival you can download and print our Allergy Questionnaire.
